There are choices that change your life, paths that are taken with the heart.
Mine was photography. Not a fallback, but a conscious choice, a call to something bigger.
My name is Sammy Dhouioui, I have Tunisian origins on my father's side and Italian on my mother's side. I was born in Lucca, but I moved to Florence for love. And love, in all its forms, is what inspires me every day.
But why “Sammy In Black”? It was born almost by chance. Years ago, when I registered on Facebook with my real name, the platform asked me to prove my identity with a document. I didn’t want to send it and, at that moment, I was watching - Men in Black - . So, without thinking too much, I changed my last name to “In Black”.
Since then, that name has stuck with me, becoming part of my artistic identity.
Today I am a wedding photographer by choice, not by chance. I left a secure job as a computer technician in a large company, with a wife and two children, to follow my dream.
My wife was the first to believe in me, giving me my first professional camera.
From that moment, everything came to life.
MY APPROACH
My Approach
I don't want to be a simple observer on the most important day of your life. For this reason, before every wedding, I like to get to know you, to get in tune with you and your story. When possible, I always organize a site visit with you, even if I already know the location. It is a precious moment to break the ice, create a bond and fully understand your desires and expectations for the big day.
I love simplicity, but my artistic vision always leads me to look for unconventional compositions, authentic moments that speak for themselves. My photography is discreet, spontaneous, true. I want you to feel free, without forced poses or artifices.

My Style
I want to enter your story discreetly, without filters or distractions, letting the emotions flow naturally.
I am inspired by art, painting, cinema. I love spontaneity, but sometimes I like to play with creativity: reflections, unusual perspectives, details that give the photo a unique touch without distorting its authenticity. It's not about building fake moments, but about enriching the visual narrative with an artistic sensibility that makes each image special.
Each shot is carefully chosen, as is the selection between color and black and white, to maximize the emotions and atmosphere of each moment. I work on each photograph carefully to create a coherent visual story, where tones and shades become part of the story.
I don't chase trends, nor do I look for effects as an end in themselves. My goal is to tell your story in the most authentic and personal way possible, enhancing your emotions with a visual language that is elegant, natural and never banal.

Beyond Wedding Photography
My passion for photography doesn't stop at the wedding day. I also love to tell those special moments that precede or follow it, like a spontaneous couple session, maybe at sunset, or a maternity service that celebrates the magic of waiting.
These services allow me to tell love in its most everyday and authentic form, without the frame of a big event, but with the same intensity. Each shot is born from an encounter, from a look, from a simple gesture that deserves to be remembered.

I love to travel, to get lost in the streets of unknown cities, to observe the light that changes between the mountains, to discover the authenticity in the faces and gestures of people. Every place, every encounter leaves a mark on my gaze, enriching my photographic approach.
Over the years I have explored different fields: from theater to dance, from intimate portraiture to travel reportage. Experiences that have taught me to look for beauty even in the simplest details, to tell emotions through nuances, silences, movements.
Personal projects that speak about me, but at the same time deeply influence my way of telling the love stories that are entrusted to me. Because every photograph, after all, is a fragment of life, a shared emotion, a small journey into the soul.
